Check out this bangin' bob haircut girl on Limi Feu's Fall 2009 runway.
I haven't been able to find very much info on her, but I know her name is Kersti. I'm not sure if it's Kersti Pohlak or what. But what I do know is that I loooove her bob.
I also looooove the first dress below. I want to wear it everyday this coming fall. Does it frame her bob just SO perfectly or what??? It almost seems like it was made for a bob haircut:
I wish I could pull off yellow tights. I've tried, but they just look silly on me.
The love of my life, Ryan Adams, just married Mandy Moore. WHAAAAAAAAAAAT????
How could this happen? How could he do this to me? I didn't even know they were dating. She doesn't even seem like his type. I mean, I actually really love her... but... she sang this song. I guess I just didn't know he was into that. But whatev.
I'll move on someday. I mean, there must be life after Ryan Adams marrying Mandy Moore and not me. Tear.
I'm not kidding. This is huge news. I don't know what to do.
She just might be one of the cutest girls I've ever seen in my life. You must go to her blog NOW.
Looks to me like she's been a committed bob haircut girl for years... and oh geez... she sure knows how to represent. She makes me wanna dye my bob blond again.
And those outfits. Ohhhhh those outfits. The girl has got some of the ccuuuuutest steez I've seen in a long while.
So I hafta admit. I recently bought a long brown wig with bangs that I have been wearing lately. It has secretly been making me want to grown my hair out. I just feel so much more feminine with long hair. I also feel like I can wear certain outfits with long hair, that don't really work with shorter hair. So that has been neat.
Ohhhh the betrayal... ohhhh the bob haircut back stabbing (!) ...
But then, there are moments like this... where I come across things like this... that remind me why I love bob haircuts so much, and why I'm so grateful for my little ole loyal bob. This is the first time I've even gone to Bumble & Bumble's website... and this happened to be the story of the day on their website. WHAT?? I guess it's safe to say that someone's watching out for me, and stopping me from making a bad choice of actually growing my hair out??:
I had an instant girl crush on her when I met her a few years ago. Talk about representing bobhaircutgirlness to the max. She happens to have the best taste in vintage dresses I've ever laid my eyes on. And she rarely wears pants (I'm glad I'm not the only one!)! She's also a recent newlywed. She married my good friend Jesse. I think they're a match made in heaven. These are some photos from a recent photo shoot they did together of Susie's vintage dress collection. Jesse took the photos. He happens to be an incredible photographer/artist. Go to his flickr site. I especially love all the creepy clowns:
From Luella Spring 2009. Which, by the way, Zooey Deschanel wore to the Grammy's recently. Um, talk about killing two birds with one stone. Luella is pretty much like my favorite. And Zooey is pretty much like in my top three when it comes to ultimate girl crushes.
And alas, here is another one of my attempts at sewing and trying to make something without a pattern. AND. Wearing a blonde bob. AND managing to look purdy scary all at the same time:
I have three things to say about this. Watch it first, and then I'll tell you the three things I have to say:
1) There is no possible way I could ever walk down that runway without laughing. 2) Sure, I like the clothes because they are mostly black, but I would like them much better if that horrible song wasn't playing. 3) If I were a model in this show, I would most likely throw up at the end of the runway.
NO!!!!!! What???? Pure silliness.
They should have put styrofoam "NO's" on the models' bums. Just to make it even worse.
I adore adore adore adore adore Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Wanna know a secret? Sometimes when I'm short on outfit ideas, I just do a quick little Olsen twin Google search, and voila. Toodles to outfit dilemmas.
So maybe this is a little old. But. Ashley and Mary-Kate sported black and blond bobs in the August 2006 issue of Vogue. I discovered these photos yearrrrrs ago, but just remembered I had them bookmarked. Wow. Wow. Wow. I already knew these girls could pull off anything. But holy moly. Talk about representing bobhaircutgirleshness to the highest degree.
They have a new coffee table book out. Called "Influence." I probably won't buy it. Because I'm cheap. And because my coffee table is already filled with vintage 1950 magazines that I bought at an estate sale for like 50 cents - wow, what a splurge. But maybe I'll go to the bookstore real quick (while I scope out all the cute bookstore boys) and read some snippets of it. Particularly, their interviews with Karl Lagerfeld and Diane von Furstenberg. Might be interesting. We shall see...
I can't believe it's already over. So sad. I'm pretty sure I love Halloween more and more every year.
I wanted to stay true to my bobhaircutgirlism, so I wore a blond bob wig, and dressed as the Morton Salt girl. I used the Morton Salt box as a purse / chapstick and gum holder. And the other one is from another night. I just wanted an excuse to wear a vintage hat with netting over my face.
