Anna Sui for Target!

I cannot even wait for Anna Sui's collection for Target to be available this fall (Sept. 13th - Oct. 17th). This is like a dream. Come. True.

There are 19 looks in all... and they are all inspired by Gossip Girl characters. I hate to admit it, but I liked Gossip Girl for like, a day. But then I suddenly remembered how much I hate TV.

Anyway, I love Anna Sui more than you can ever imagine. And I'll actually be able to afford this stuff. So so so so excited. Here are some of my favorite looks from the collection:

Oh my, am I into black hats right now er whut.

I love big black hats because they match with most of my wardrobe, it's a great way to avoid having to do my hair, they make me feel like a spy, and I can hide from people. I'm not kidding, being incognito is the best sometimes. Here are some black hats that I love, but definitely cannot afford (click image for details):

And this one right here is to D-I-E for. Taken from Sea of Shoes:

Lagerfeld for Vogue.

These are some of my most favorite editorial photographs ever. The first is from Vogue Germany October 2007. The rest are from Vogue Germany October 2008. All Karl Lagerfeld. So incredibly beautiful. Made me think of this post.

I especially love the fourth photo of the models' silhouettes. I love authentic late 1800's to early 1900's silhouette images so much. I recently found a late 1800's silhouette portrait of a family at an antique store. I wanted it so bad, but it cost 1,000 bones.

So I opted for these darling silhouette stickers from the 1920's. I'm still deciding what I'm going to do with them, but I'm so excited. Craft time:

On a lighter note.

This is a necklace that I bought at an antique store this weekend:

I totally love it and don't want to take it off. It has a fish on it.

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Except for right now. Just real quick.

I'm so sorry, but I've just been dying to get this off my chest.

Two of the grossest outfits I've seen lately:

I just. I can't.

Metro.POP Magazine / Stretsis

Seeing how I'm always on the prowl for bob haircut girls, I couldn't help but pick up the latest issue of Metro.POP magazine.

The girls in the editorial shoot (photograped by Eric Martin) are so darling with their bob haircuts and ultra mod styling. See photos below...

I officially found my new favorite clothing line in the magazine: Stretsis

I am in L.O.V.E.

Their Spring/Summer '09 Collection is to die for. I feel like all of my latest fashion dreams just came true. Lately, I've been trying to figure out how I can pull off wearing jumpsuits, high-waisted shorts, and trousers without looking like a boy. Stretsis makes me want to wear pants all day long. Sooo pretty and sooo feminine. Be sure to check out the darling bombshell ruffle two-piece bathing suit (on page 3 of the collection)!

Here are some photos that I scanned from Metro.POP Magazine:

V.V. Brown!

I adore V.V. Brown's style so much.

First, watch this video. How cute is her jumpsuit? And how adorable is the cab driver? And how incredible is her voice? And that song? I like this version much better than the album version.

Aside from that, she's just an all around incredible female. Read about her here.

She also finally launched her online vintage shop (I've been waiting oh so long).

I just love her. Her ambition inspires me so much.

A case of the winter clothing romance blues / black and white maxi dresses

There's nothing like beginning of summer wardrobe drama. I never know what to wear at the beginning of the summer. I prefer fall and winter clothing and colors... so I always to hold onto them as long as I can as summer approaches. I usually try to wear sweaters, boots, and tights as long as I can. But then I have no choice once the 80 degree mark is reached. I'm tacky, I know.

But most of all, I adore the fact that fall and winter allows me to (1) layer/layer/layer and wear like 50 pieces all at once, and 2) avoid shaving my legs everyday (gross). Luckily it has been rainy and chilly here the past few weeks. But I know my heart has to let go of its romance with winter clothing oh so soon.

I have decided that the perfect black, white, and gray maxi dress (preferably with loose, flowy, draped, kimono sleeves) will assist me with my painstaking transition (life is so hard sometimes). These are the reasons why such a dress is perfect for me at this given time in my life:

1) I pretty much only wear black, white, and gray most of the time.
2) Draped kimono style sleeves still make me feel like I'm layering (for some reason).
3) I can wear one of my three super huge thick black vintage belts that I recently purchased at a thrift store. With it.
4) I can wear my new vintage "jelly fish" necklace that I have a current love affair with and pretty much don't want to wear anything else (I'll post pics of it later). With it.
5) The lightness and flowyness of the fabric helps me avoid the summer grumpies (that's when I get too hot and it results in chronic pissy-ness).
6) It compliments a black bob haircut quite nicely.

Here are some black, white, and gray maxi dresses that float my boat:

More confessions of a bob haircut girl.

This is the reason why I became a bob haircut girl:

About three years ago, I worked at an Asian restaurant.
This little 6-year-old girl (not the one in the photos) used to come in all the time and eat sushi with her mom.
I fell in love with her bob haircut with bangs.

After talking about it for weeks, I finally chopped off my long hair.
And I never went back.

A six-year-old inspired my haircut. And I'm not even kidding.

Bam Bam

I saw "The Brothers Bloom" this weekend. I really really really loved all of the costumes in the movie, designed by Beatrix Aruna Pásztor. She also did "Vanity Fair."

But I especially adored "Bam Bam's" outfits. These were the best photos I could find. You'll just have to see the movie for more...

I am still on a quest to find a cheap version of Chanel's half-tint sunglasses. So far, no luck. I may just have to find an optician that will tint the lenses for me???....

Oh dear!!

Oh geez, look at the bob on that. Yeahhh she must work out:

That's from a quote from a movie. I'm really not that mean.

Ok but on a serious note, I am going to try and recreate these damask walls for an upcoming photo shoot. You can call me copy catty catface. But I'm going to make them silver instead of gold perhaps. Oh and I heart the shoes in the last photo to pieces.
